Nick Knight
He published a book called skinheads in 1982 in which contained all of his photographs. He was also commissioned by a man called Terry Jones to take 100 portraits for the magazines 5th anniversary issue.
Man Ray
Man Ray was extraordinary because of his naked art work, not many photographers at the time did this, he took normal people and exposed them to the elements and did well at this, it made him stand out in the right way. However his work did lead on to more photographers doing this.
He was born in 1890 in Pennsylvania and he was the eldest child of Russian immigrants, Man Ray displayed artistic and mechanical abilities during childhood.
I have chosen these 5 images together because they're all very similar, instead of doing a description for each one i have done one for all of them. They are all in black and white, and all but one involve people, getting different shots of the face, close ups, hats and from this i can tell that man ray knew what he wanted the picture to look like before he had even took it. He also has very little emotion in all of them, not one of the models are smiling and this creates a kind of strange atmosphere in the photo itself.

Mario Testino
Mario Testino is different in what he does because he uses lots of colour to
pronouce what he is trying to say, he uses to on women mainly to draw out the
eyes on them, the red lips, ridiculous eye shadow and jewlery makes up a very
clean and modern/fashionable imagine. I've noticed that he also uses close ups
in most of his images so that the models do the work with their eyes. From
further research i have found out that he has done fashion work for brands like
Vogue, Gucci and Vanity fair. He has also done various work for people like
Princess Diana and her sons. However, when he was younger, he infact wanted to
be a priest and not a photographer! When he then wanted to be a priest he dyed
his hari bright pink so that it would get him notived as a photographer and that
in thye hope people would rememebr him and bring him more work, and of course,
it worked. When his work was at its oeak in terms of how many people knew of him
he then started to begin charity work, this got him award after award and he
also raised money for ''the elton john AIDS foundation'' Mario has also
publioshed a fair few books which is different than most photographers. ''Any
Objections'', ''Front Row Back Stage'' and ''Diana, Princess of Wales'' Some of
these books were infacvt about peoiple that he had done work for in the past! As
he had met them in person, he choose to write books on them.
